RegSmart new partner at Uppsala Innovation Centre (UIC)

RegSmart Life Science and the business incubator Uppsala Innovation Centre (UIC) has signed a partner agreement starting February 1, 2023. RegSmart will support UIC start-up pharma and medical device companies with regulatory advice. RegSmart will also contribute to UIC’s special offerings to the Life Science community companies.

Uppsala Innovation Centre (UIC) offer innovative startups and growth companies in all industries tailored business development support, networks, financing and the knowledge required to develop, scale up or reach an international market. Annually, UIC evaluate around 250 business ideas and include around 75 companies in business development programs.

“We are looking forward to being a member of the UIC partner team and contribute with our regulatory competence to pharma and medical device start-up companies. Nothing beats the feeling of contributing to the innovative process when turning Life Science ideas into reality” says Agneta Larhed, co-founder and Senior Regulatory Consultant at RegSmart.

“With RegSmart, we get another competent partner who can support UIC companies in the often tricky regulatory landscape for Life Science innovations”, adds Niclas Stjernberg, CEO of Uppsala Innovation Centre. “Approximately one third of all UIC companies have a business idea within Life Science, and it is often crucial to have good advice early in the business development process regarding regulatory opportunities and challenges. This partnership is an important piece of the puzzle for the intensified investment UIC is making in Life Science, both in the short and long term” concludes Niclas Stjernberg.
