With extensive expertise in clinical pharmacology and drug development Anita Andersson brings a wealth of experience from both industry and regulatory authorities. She has worked across the entire drug development process from early research to late-stage approvals, with a particular focus on clinical pharmacology, DMPK (Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics) and regulatory strategies.

From the pharmaceutical industry, Anita has 20 years of experience and before joining RegSmart Anita played a key role at AstraZeneca where she led clinical pharmacology strategies for late-stage drug development, preparing for submissions of NDA/MAA. Her expertise also extends to regulatory assessment of e.g. clinical trials, MAAs, scientific advice, having worked as a Senior Assessor at the Swedish Medical Products Agency (MPA) and as a Seconded National Expert at the EMA.
Anita is a collaborative and solution-oriented professional with a passion for bringing new medicines to patients, combining scientific rigor and regulatory expertise to address complex development challenges.
